Sherlock - Series 3 Review

Sherlock returned this year with - The Empty Hearse, The Sign of Three, and His Last Vow. The entire  series revolves around John and Mary (not Sherlock), well a little bit of Sherlock. I managed to view all three episodes via live-stream, kudos to http://www.combom.co.uk/ for serving the stream!

The first episode revolves around the engagement of John and Mary and the reappearance of Sherlock. And to spoil to all who have yet to watch Sherlock, here is how he survived the fall in series 2:

The second episode deals with the wedding of John and Mary. Never let Sherlock give a best man speech or speech period at a wedding. John and Mary, and the guests learned the lesson the hard way....

Also as per The Mary Sue, the fourth and fifth series of Sherlock has have been already been "plotted out" and will hopefully air before 2050....

Christmas break was spend recovering from viral fever... not fun stuff, but Doctor Who Christmas special as usual was awesome and left me wanting to strangle Moffat - far too much happened too quick! The new Doctor doesn't like the color of his kidneys... at least it is not his hair color..., and is Scottish this time for real (so Clara's comment/insult earlier in the special applies now :P).

So it is finally 2014! Survived 2013 and walked into the realm of 2014.... 2012 still hasn't happened yet, but still keeping an eye out for it :P , who knows maybe the Mayan's miscalculated (shrug)...

So I am an year older now and my resolution from last year: an episode of Doctor Who a day is still going strong - which by the way, 365 episodes of Doctor Who leaves one in middle of 11th season of it! Sarah Jane Smith is the Doctor's companion since the beginning of season 11 and already she is the best so far, a bit self-centered, but still the best! - before the year is out, I should be caught up with the classic series.

One of the best birthday gift was the return of Sherlock (it airs on Jan 19th here in US) but I managed to watch it live. Nothing like reunion of Sherlock Holmes and John Watson (hehe) :D. Next episode airs on Jan 5th - this Sunday!

Also SD can be addicting, already bought stuff early morning (1-2am) today... it was really good deals, hard to pass it away (shrug)

Original British Drama 2013

It is almost time for the fall seasons to begin! BBC has already released a compilation of their original drama series - Sherlock (starring Benedict Cumberbatch + Martin Freeman), The Musketeers (starring Peter Capaldi), The Escape Artist (starring David Tennant), The Great Train Robbery, Quirke, Ripper Street, What Remains and By Any Means.

Benedict Cumberbatch... he walked into my field of vision in the production of Sherlock by Steven Moffat & Mark Gatiss (writers for Doctor Who), and then later in Star Trek Into Darkness (spoiler alert!) as the Khan (spoiler alert!). Now he is scheduled to be on the big screen for The Hobbit: The Desolation of Smaug, The Hobbit: There and Back Again (Smaug / The Necromancer) and The Fifth Estate (Julian Assange) -- at least the three out of the many I would be waiting for. Meanwhile I am going to check out The Last Enemy.
